Detectives Arrest Suspect in Forestville Homicide

Homicide Unit detectives identified and charged a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in Forestville last week. The suspect is 19-year-old Kenjuan Wilson of the 3300 block of Walters Lane in Forestville.  

On May 16th, at approximately 11:00 am, patrol officers responded to the 3200 block of Walters Lane for a shooting. Once on scene, they discovered the victim, Tyjuan Lawrence, in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation reveals the fatal shooting stemmed from a dispute between the suspect and victim. They were acquaintances. Wilson is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He’s in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
