PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in Oxon Hill

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Oxon Hill. The victim is 68-year-old Ben Walker, Jr. of Monroe Street in Arlington, VA.  

On September 17th, at about 7:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Wilson Bridge Drive for the report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car. Walker, who was on the motorcycle, was hurt in the collision. He died of his injuries on September 26th.

The investigation reveals Walker was traveling northbound on Indian Head Highway and the involved car was traveling southbound on Indian Head Highway. Preliminarily, it appears the driver of the involved car made a U-turn at Wilson Bridge Drive causing Walker to collide with the back of the car. The driver and passengers of the car were not injured.
