WANTED WEDNESDAY

Bank Robbery Investigation

We’re starting Wanted Wednesday this week with our search for a bank robber. On Tuesday afternoon, this suspect walked into a bank in the 14000 block of Baltimore Avenue in Laurel and demanded cash. Fearing for her safety, a teller complied and gave the suspect money. He then fled the bank. The suspect is described as a white male, about 6’0 tall and was wearing a wig. Theft Investigation
Detectives are also working to identify this suspect. He’s wanted in connection with a theft at a department store in Forestville. Our investigation reveals he stole several items from the store in the 3400 block of Donnell Drive on August 16th at about 12:20 pm. Please call us if you know his identity. We’re also investigating a theft at a gas station in Mitchellville. Investigators would like to speak with this suspect. The investigation reveals the suspect stole cash from the station in the 12000 block of Central Avenue on August 16th or 17th. Please call us with any information in this case. Detectives Release Video of Person of Interest in Homicide Investigation


Homicide Unit detectives today released surveillance video of a man they’d like to talk to in connection with a fatal shooting in Lanham earlier this month.  

On August 11th, at about 9:15 am, patrol officers were called to the 7000 block of Palamar Turn in Lanham for a welfare check. When they arrived, officers discovered the victim, 24-year-old Troy Foster, lying on a footpath with gunshot wounds to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The surveillance video was recorded on August 11th at about 9:40 pm at a gas station at 20 Southway in Greenbelt. Detectives are now asking the community to call with any information on the identity of the driver seen in this video.


Detectives are working to establish a motive in this case.

Detectives Arrest Two Suspects in June Homicide

Homicide Unit detectives arrested and charged two suspects in connection with a homicide in Oxon Hill in June. The suspects are 25-year-old Jarrett Jackson of the 6600 block of Highgate Drive in Fort Washington and 28-year-old Jarrell Jackson of the 2400 block of W Rosecroft Village Circle in Oxon Hill. They’re charged with the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Shahim Body of Oxon Hill.

On June 6th, at about 8:40 pm, patrol officers responded to the 5200 block of Leverett Street for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He died several hours later.

The preliminary investigation reveals the fatal shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the suspects and victim. The suspects are charged with first degree murder and related charges.

Detectives Arrest Man For Murder of Three Young Family Members

Homicide Unit detectives arrested and charged a suspect for the murder of three young girls at a home in Clinton on Friday. The suspect is 25-year-old Antonio Williams of the 6400 block of Brooke Jane Drive. He’s charged in connection with the deaths of his sister, six-year-old Nadira Withers of Brooke Jane Drive, as well as nine-year-old Ariana Decree and six-year-old Ajayah Decree. The Decree sisters are from Palm Street in Newark, New Jersey. They are the daughters of the suspect’s mother’s cousin. 

On August 18th, at about 7:35 am, patrol officers were called to a house in the 6400 block of Brooke Jane Drive. Withers’ mother had just returned home from work and discovered the victims. The victims were suffering from stab wounds and pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals Williams had sole care and custody of the children at the home overnight into Friday. He has confessed to killing the victims. Detectives are working to establish a motive in this case.

Williams is charged with three counts of first and second murder and related charges. He’s in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

ALERT: Arrest in the homicides of 3 children in Clinton

Tonight Homicide Detectives with the Prince George's County Police Department arrested 24 year old Clinton resident Antonio Williams of the 6400 block of Brook Jane Drive in the triple homicide of 3 juvenile females in Clinton.   

At this point, we are unable to share further details due to the ongoing investigation, but it was critical that we shared this update with our community.  

We will be holding an 11 AM press conference tomorrow, Saturday August 19th, at police headquarters and will share more details at that time.   No further information at this time.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in Langley Park

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Langley Park. The victim is 58-year-old Gilbert Kuncl of Cragsmoore Court in Ellicott City.

On August 17th, around 10:05 am, patrol officers were called to the 8200 block of 15thAvenue for the report of a collision. Kuncl was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died of his injuries.

The preliminary investigation reveals Kuncl was standing next to his tow truck on 15thAvenue at the time of the collision. It appears he was preparing to tow a vehicle when he was struck by a passing car. The driver of that car was not hurt and remained on the scene.

Surveillance Video of Armed Robbery


This week we’re starting Wanted Wednesday with surveillance video that captures a brazen robbery at a business in Capitol Heights. This happened back on June 13th. On the video, two suspects in a blue car stop at the business. A victim approaches the car and the suspects immediately begin to rob him. One of the suspects is armed with a gun. A second victim at the business is also robbed before the suspects flee the area. The victims were not badly hurt. Detectives did identify and arrest the driver in this video and are now asking the community to help track down the passenger. Theft Investigation



These three suspects are wanted in connection with a theft at a tool store on Baltimore Avenue in Beltsville. The theft occurred on August 8th. If you know any of these suspects, please call 301-937-0910 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.


Convenience Store Robbery



The Robbery Unit is working to find and arrest this suspect who committed an armed robbery at a convenience store. The suspect targeted the store in the 9000 block of Oxon Hill Road on August 14th. These two pictured suspects robbed a drugstore in the 11000 block of Beltsville Drive in Beltsville. The robbery happened on August 15th around 12:30 am. We’re also working to identify this suspect who robbed a convenience store on Auth Road in Camp Springs on August 15th. This robbery took place shortly before 3:00 am. The suspect jumped the counter and forced an employee to hand over cash. Call 301-772-4905 or 1-866-411-TIPS with info.

  

PGPD Investigates Domestic-Related Murder/Suicide in Upper Marlboro

The Homicide Unit is investigating a domestic-related murder/suicide in Upper Marlboro. The victim is 54-year-old Bernard Williams of Miller Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. The suspect is 53-year-old Kiwa Toomer of the 14000 block of New Arcadia Lane. The victim and suspect were in a relationship.

On August 15th, at about 7:45 pm, officers were called to the suspect’s apartment for a welfare check. When the officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Toomer was discovered with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both Williams and Toomer were pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to establish a motive in this case.

Detectives Arrest Suspect in Capitol Heights Homicide

Detectives with our Homicide Unit identified and arrested a suspect wanted for a recent homicide in Capitol Heights. The suspect is 38-year-old Martinez Ferrell of the 1000 block of Atlee Drive in Landover. He’s charged with the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Kevin Hawkins of Harrods Way in Landover.

On July 29th, at about 11:30 am, patrol officers were called to the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road for a welfare check. The officers found the victim lying on the side of the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He died of his injuries on August 3rd.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ferrell as a suspect in this fatal shooting. He and the victim were acquaintances.  Detectives are working to identify the motive in this case.

Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in Lanham

Detectives with our Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting in Lanham last Friday. The victim is
24-year-old Troy Foster of Valley Terrace in Southeast DC. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Tipsters will never have to give their name.

On August 11th, at about 9:15 am, patrol officers were called to the 7000 block of Palamar Turn in Lanham for a welfare check.  When they arrived, officers discovered the victim lying on a footpath with gunshot wounds to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are looking to identify a suspect(s) and a motive in this case.

Two Teens Arrested for July Homicide in Adelphi

Homicide Unit detectives arrested two teenage suspects in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 47-year-old man. One suspect is 14-year-old Elias Portillo of the 7900 block of 18th Avenue in Adelphi. He is charged as an adult. The second suspect is a 13-year-old male. He is charged as a juvenile. The suspects are charged with the murder of Francisco Sagastizado of no fixed address.


On July 27th, at about 8:10 am, patrol officers with the Maryland-National Capital Park Police Department responded to the 7800 block of West Park Drive for an unresponsive male. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim outside in the woods suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was stabbed when he refused the suspects’ demands for money.

Both suspects are charged with first and second degree murder. Portillo is in custody of the Department of Corrections. The 13-year-old suspect is in custody of the Cheltenham Youth Detention Facility.
