Detectives Charge Two Suspects in December 2016 Homicide

The Homicide Unit has charged two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting in Capitol Heights in December. The suspects are 28-year-old Julius Senior of the 2400 block of Baikal Loop in Upper Marlboro and 22-year-old Jamal Garner of the 50th block of Bryant Street in Northwest DC. They’re both charged in connection with the murder of 27-year-old Carrington Carter II of Windjammer Court in Fort Washington.

On December 30th, at about 10:10 pm, the victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds outside in the 7100 block of White Pearl Place. He died a short time later at a hospital. 

The preliminary investigation reveals the fatal shooting stemmed from an illegal drug transaction.  

Senior is charged with first and second degree murder. Garner is charged with attempted first and second degree murder. They are both in  custody in the District and are awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
