PGPD to Host First Police Thanksgiving Day

On Tuesday, November 15th, Chief Stawinski and the Prince George's County Police Department are beginning a new tradition. We're holding our first Annual Police Thanksgiving Day - it's a show of support and appreciation to our dedicated officers for the job they do every day.  The Prince George's County Council provided a proclamation that announces November 15th as Police Thanksgiving Day. Our law enforcement partners at Maryland State Police and the county's municipal police departments are also on the guest list. A meal will be served to officers at each of our seven District Stations and the Special Operations Division. What makes the day even more special, the meals are being provided by businesses in our community and volunteers will be serving the food. The retired members of the agency will also be participating.

Any members of media who would like to attend one of those meals is asked to please call the Media Relations Division at 301-772-4710.
