Missing Child Found

Updated March 9th: Thanks to an alert citizen, 11-month-old Amonie Moss of Southeast Washington, is back with her legal guardian. We shared with our community earlier this week that Amonie and her 18-year-old mother, Tenisha, went missing last weekend in Landover Hills. The alert citizen, who saw a news story about their disappearance, spotted them at a bus stop in DC.  The citizen urged the mother to contact her grandmother who came to pick up the baby. Amonie is in good health.

The Prince George's County Police Department is asking for our community's help finding a missing baby and her mother. The baby is 11-month-old Amonie Moss of Anacostia Road in Southeast Washington. She was left in her mother's care Saturday afternoon around 3:30 pm in the 6600 block of Annapolis Road in Landover Hills. The mother is 18-year-old Tenisha Moss, also of Anacostia Road in Southeast Washington.

The preliminary investigation reveals the baby's grandmother, Tenisha and Amonie stopped at a store on Annapolis Road. The grandmother went inside the store, leaving Tenisha and Amonie in the car. When the grandmother returned, they were no longer in the car.  Preliminarily, there is no evidence of foul play in their disappearance. The grandmother has full custody of Amonie.

Amonie was last seen wearing a pink coat, blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone with information on Tenisha and Amonie's whereabouts is urged to call detectives at 301-772-4930 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
