PGPD Honored For Commitment to Military Veterans

(Veterans Day 2014 – Chief Magaw with PGPD Officers Who Served in Vietnam)

The Military Times publication this week recognized the Prince George’s County Police Department for our commitment to providing opportunities to America’s military veterans. The PGPD is among the top seven departments in the nation in the “Best for Vets: Law Enforcement 2015 List.” The departments on this list are selected for efforts to connect with veterans and to provide an environment for success. Here is a link to the list:www.militarytimes.com/bestforvets-lawenforcement2015.

Nearly 300 of our current officers have proudly served in all branches of the military. One of our officers is right now deployed in Afghanistan.

We are thankful to all military veterans and are pleased that so many now wear the uniform of the Prince George’s county Police Department.
