PGPD Taking Part in Annual COPS Ride

Prince George’s County Police Chief Mark Magaw will be among those gathering for the 15th Annual COPS Ride this weekend. The event attracts hundreds of motorcyclists each year in an effort to raise money for the families of fallen law enforcement officers across Maryland.

The motorcyclists and other participants will meet at the FOP Lodge #89 in Upper Marlboro for a day of food, activities and vendors. Last year, the event raised $70,000 for survivors. The Maryland Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors has several programs for survivors, including scholarships, peer support and counseling.
