PGPD Conducts Operation Seeking Information in the Murder of Marckel Ross

The Prince George's County Police Department reached out to commuters and pedestrians this morning to get their assistance with the Marckel Ross murder investigation.

On September 11, 2012,  at 6:50 am, the 18 year-old was shot and killed in the 6100 block of Old Central Avenue in Capitol Heights. Based on a tip, investigators believe that an unreported robbery took place in the same area a short time before Ross was killed.  Detectives would like to speak with that victim.

Police officers passed out fliers and spoke with rush-hour commuters and pedestrians regarding the investigation. Ross' mother also stopped by the scene and spoke with members of the media, urging anyone with information in her son's murder to come forward.

A cash reward is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s).

A cash reward of up to $25,000 is available.
